Governing Body

The Governing Body is the Supreme Authority responsible for the overall functioning and development of the Institution.


Functions of the Governing Body

  • To approve the recurring and non-recurring budget forecasts for the financial year in advance.

  • To estimate workload and approve the Institute’s staff requirements for both teaching and non-teaching (technical and administrative) positions.

  • To regularly review and approve proposals for infrastructure development including buildings, equipment, and library facilities.

  • To assess compliance with the general and specific conditions laid down by the AICTE, State Government, and the Affiliating Body, and to monitor progress in fulfilling these requirements.

  • To consider the Principal’s report on the status of student admissions.

  • To review the Principal’s report on students’ academic performance.

  • To monitor staff working conditions as prescribed by the Affiliating Body/Government.

  • To evaluate and act upon the Principal’s recommendations for improving staff academic performance.

  • To consider any matter that enhances the Institution’s academic environment.

  • To evaluate proposals for expanding educational activities submitted to the Council/Government/Affiliating Body.

  • The Governing Body conducts one meeting every year.

The college maintains a clearly defined administrative structure in accordance with AICTE and UGC guidelines.


Rules and Regulations

  • All regulations, policies, and procedures are clearly defined and documented.

  • Rules regarding general administration, staff recruitment, service conditions, leave, promotions, and increments are well-framed.

  • These rules are communicated to all newly appointed staff and newly admitted students through orientation programmes.

  • The regulations are also available on the college website.

  • Recruitment is carried out transparently, based strictly on merit, after advertising vacancies in leading publications.

  • Regular Appointments: The University of JNTU Ananthapuramu Selection Committee—comprising subject experts, a management representative, and the Principal—recruits faculty and staff.

  • Immediate/Temporary Appointments: The College Staff Selection Committee (management members, Principal, and subject experts) fills urgent vacancies.
